When one thinks of entertainment and showbiz, the first name that comes to mind is Las Vegas. Las Vegas, often referred to as the world’s entertainment capital, is an extremely popular entertainment hotspot.  If one were to make a list of places to visit in one’s life time, Las Vegas would feature prominently on it. Located in the Mojave Desert in the state of Nevada, Las Vegas has grown from a sleepy small town with primarily native Indian population to a cosmopolitan city that boasts of the finest hotels and restaurants in the world and the place which offers the best forms of entertainment one could hope for.

The city’s economy is fuelled by the income generated through entertainment, showbiz and tourism.  Las Vegas is the most happening place to get hitched in a hurry since the legal formalities are easily met and weddings can get real cheap. The city is home to many famous casinos that have set up shop mostly on the 4 mile stretch of property called Las Vegas strip.  Some of the largest hotels in the world can be found along this strip. Las Vegas gives you access to every conceivable form of entertainment, be it clean family fun or adult entertainment. Showbiz and entertainment events are hosted by almost all the major hotels.

 

There are excellent theatres that host musical shows and opera performances as well as magic shows and standup comedy acts. For those people who have been to Vegas it is obvious that the lifestyle here is intrinsically linked to and is sustained by the showbiz and entertainment industry that thrives here. 

Showbiz is an animal all on its own and to place a child in the industry will have a huge impact on that child.  It all depends on how the child is guided and led into the showbiz industry will determine how they ultimately handle the challenge.  Every parent wants their child to be successful and famous, so when they find a way to make a break into showbiz, it can be a heady and exhilarating ride to stardom.  The child is now the center of the universe and if their break was huge, they are now recognized wherever they go.  People, even important people, make exceptions for any way the child may choose to behave and nothing the child wants will be too much to ask.  

The money that showbiz can generate can be overwhelming and needs to be handled in a manner that suggests that the child will not always be successful.  Often parents will mistake their child’s success for their own and spend their money accordingly.  If a child fades from the showbiz industry, no one is going to care that there is now a huge amount of debt and no way to pay it off.  Professional financial advice may not be a bad idea for everyone involved.     

Young children entering showbiz often become tempted by the drugs and alcohol that is readily available in this industry.  There is no guaranteed way to prevent this but a good solid family base is an excellent way to possibly defuse this situation.  The showbiz industry can be overwhelming for any adult so one has to consider what this might do to a child.

The majority of foreign countries agrees with the decision of the new president of the USA Barak Obama to close the military prison on the American base Guantanamo on the Cuba  where 245 people suspected in connection with terrorism are kept. Last week the president of the States ordered to liquidate the prison in a year but the possible consequences are worth to be thought over: how will the setting free of the prisoners and moving them to the prisons in the USA influence security of the country? This question is of great interest for Senator John Mccain. He wonders what they could do with the people who they want to free if there is no country to receive them.
This decision of Obama was considered to be the right one by the world’s publicity as the prison of Guantanamo was a dark stain on the reputation of the States.
Barak Obama says that this decision is well prepared, and it is not because he has to keep his promise which was given during election campaign. He adds that he follows the traditions of morality.
There are 245 prisoners now in the Guantanamo. Many of them have been waiting for trial in the court for many years. It seems that somehow or other their faith will be known in the following 12 months.
